Mortal Kombat 1 Quan Chi Release Date Confirmed

Quan Chi will join the MK1 roster on December 14
by Tit Krajnik on December 04, 2023

A new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer, released on Sunday, December 3, revealed Quan Chi will join the MK1 roster on December 14. On top of that, it showcased how Quan Chi's abilities will work and teased its new Kameo fighter, Khameleon, making a return to the series for the first time since 2006.

Although the trailer confirmed that Khamaleon will be re-added to the Mortal Kombat roster, his entry into MK1 won't be until January 2024.

Quan Chi and Khameleon's Combat Techniques

As showcased in the trailer, Quan Chi's fighting style features a lot of magic, which is the sorcerer at his disposal. He appears to favor keeping his enemies at a distance. However, he isn't opposed to calling Khameleon to help him when they get too close for comfort.

Khameleon, unlike Quan Chi, uses more ninja-like moves, tactfully using a pole to enhance her moves. Her stance is similar to that of a mysterious player called Jade, who is yet to be added to the Mortal Kombat roster. However, she has been mentioned before, so players can anticipate her arrival at a later date, potentially when Khameleon is poised to be added — in January 2024.

Second MK1 DLC Fighter

Quan Chi is the second DLC fighter to be added to Mortal Kombat 1, after Omni-Man, who entered the game in November 2023. Additionally, resources speculate that Ermac or Takeda might also be added next, followed by Homelander.

Homelander's release has not yet been confirmed. Still, it would make perfect sense, considering he would be joining the MK1 roster close to The Boys Season 4 release, set for next year.
