Leaked Content Surfaces Ahead of The Last of Us Part II Remastered Release

Skins and a new mode have been revealed
by Joe Wilcock on January 15, 2024

In the lead-up to the January 19 release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, leaks have emerged on Reddit, offering an early glimpse into the gameplay, features of the 'No Return' mode, and character skins included in the remaster project.

Unveiling the Leaked Content

The leaked content, shared by Reddit user 'Teriosss65,' showcases various aspects of the upcoming game, such as boss fights, story elements, and the inclusion of playable characters like Lev and Tommy in the 'No Return' mode. Despite the early reveal, there appear to be minimal deviations from the original 2020 version, with the remaster primarily offering a polished visual experience.

While the leaks lack groundbreaking revelations or major surprises, they provide an opportunity for potential players to assess the upcoming content of The Last of Us Part II Remastered and decide whether the enhancements warrant an investment in the game.

The leaked material, comprising clips and screenshots, was allegedly obtained almost a week before the official release date. This unofficial unveiling might be the final exposure to The Last of Us content for a considerable period. Recent confirmations include the cancellation of Naughty Dog's multiplayer project, the absence of a script for Part III, and the delayed filming start for the television series' second season, anticipated to air in the latter half of 2025.

As the release date approaches, players will determine whether the enhancements justify a return to the haunting world crafted by Naughty Dog.
