GreedFall 2 Returns With New Trailer

Hopefully, more news will be shared about a release date soon.
by Natalie Collazo on February 29, 2024

A prequel to one of the more difficult action role-playing games I have ever played, GreedFall 2: The Dying World by Spiders makes its return with The Uprooting trailer. The new trailer was released showing off the concept, which sees a native from Teer Fradee rebelling against those who have inflicted violence on their people.

When Does GreedFall 2 Release?

There is currently no release date for The Dying World, though it will be available on the PS5 and Steam sometime this summer in early access. The game was originally announced in 2022 and has since had fans awaiting more information. As described on the official Steam page

Dive back into the unique world of GreedFall again in an even deeper RPG experience. Uprooted from the island of your birth, find your freedom, explore the old continent and forge your destiny through alliances, scheming and battles!

GreedFall 2 Returns With New Trailer

The first game involved you creating your character and exploring a huge land filled with magic, fantastic creatures, and lost treasures. Almost everything that could happen, did happen to me in my playthroughs. I was fatigued and fainted on the side of the road, so a group of bandits kidnapped me and returned me to their lair, and that was just one thing.

There were plenty of times where I overestimated my ability to survive in the wild only to be swiftly proven wrong with how the game handles roleplaying. Hopefully, the prequel will bring on the same challenges that any fan of old-school RPGs would want.
