Ready, Steady, Ship! Release Day Announcement Brings Back Team Play

Will this knock Overcooked off people's favorite co-op game list?
by Natalie Collazo on April 08, 2024

Couch co-op games have become increasingly rare in today's gaming landscape. Developer Untold Tales looks to be breaking the cycle with the announcement of Ready, Steady, Ship! Similar to the Overcooked! formula, players must work together to make the most efficient shipping warehouse possible. However, this can't happen without a few hiccups and dropped packages along the way.

Untold Tales Revives Couch Co-op

In Ready, Steady, Ship!, the goal is to keep the shipping line moving! Various combinations of conveyor belts, forklifts, cranes, and more can be used however players see fit to get things going smoothly. Of course, the fun doesn't just stop there. As players progress, levels will get weirder and harder. Before players know it, they'll be trying to maneuver around pools of acid.

Fortunately, players don't need to go it alone when shipping these "priceless" materials. Two players can work together via couch co-op to get things moving as quickly as possible. There is no online multiplayer, so players who want to indulge will need to bring a friend over if they need extra help. Of course, the game can be played completely single-player.

Ready, Steady, Ship! on Steam

Ready, Steady, Ship! will be available on April 19 for the Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and on PC.
