Resident Evil: Outrage Could Actually Be Resident Evil Revelations 3

The Game Is Supposedly The Next In The RE Series
by Oliver VanDervoort on June 17, 2021

Now that Resident Evil Village is out there, it's time for Capcom to focus on the next game in the series. If some sources are to be believed, that next game is not going to Resident Evil 9. Instead, the next game will be a continuation of the Revelations story that is officially going to be Resident Evil Revelations 3.

Biohazard Cast, a website that is dedicated to all things Resident Evil is reporting that the next game, which has been code named Resident Evil Outrage, is actually Revelations 3.

The report comes from the Ragnar hack at Capcom, where a roadmap was released leading up to 2025, in it was mention of a title called Resident Evil Outrage. As Biohazard cast points out, initially a lot of speculation said it was indeed, Revelations 3, while there was another camp that thought the name was mistranslated and the title was meant to say Outbreak. However, when pouring over the hacked files, it became clear that several internal documents directly used Revelations 3 and Outrage interchangeably.

Outside of that, however, nothing else much is known about the title. Other documents include some manifests and invoicing for scans and even some images of clothing scanned to create in-game clothing were seen as well as a few incomplete face models, but nothing else really of note.

The big question now is, just when is Revelations 3/Outrage is going to hit store shelves is still a mystery. For now, Capcom is publicly focusing on DLC for Resident Evil Village and this new game hasn't even been announced yet. That would seem to point to a 2023 release at the very earliest.
