Dying Light 2 Is Now Pushed Into 2022

Looks like we won't be having zombies for Christmas
by Oliver VanDervoort on September 15, 2021

It's officially video game delay season. That season has kicked off with Dying Light 2.

On Tuesday, developer Techland announced through their official Twitter account announced that Dying Light 2 is no longer due to launch in 2021. Instead, the game has been officially pushed back to February 4, 2022.

Techland said that the game is technically complete and it has been playtesting. However, it added, in order to bring the game up to the level it feels it needs to be, it is going to need a couple of extra months to work on the project.

Techland apologized for keeping people waiting, though the delay is actually a small one, considering the game was first supposed to launch in December of this year.

In addition to the news of the delay, the company announced that members of the media are going to be able to get their hands on a demo, and will then be free to talk to the public about their feelings.

Finally, Techland said it is going to be sharing "exciting news" about Dying Light 2 later in September.
