Ghostface Officially Coming To Warzone In The Haunting Event

The iconic villain from Scream is making his way to Warzone's Haunting Event
by Adam Braunstein on October 09, 2021

call of duty: Warzone Ghostface

Halloween is the best holiday of the year for so many reasons. The weather, the atmosphere, the candy, the costumes, and now as has become an annual tradition, the Haunting of Warzone event as well. With last year's event, we got some epic additions in the form of Leatherface as a purchasable skin, Halloween themed collectibles throughout Verdansk, surprise ghost boxes, and also perhaps the biggest addition in the long-awaited Zombies mode that had you fending off other players who would become undead once they were struck down, creating a whole other kind of Battle Royale that had humans teaming up with Zombies to take down other teams in what can only be described as matches of utter chaos. This time around though, we are being kept in the dark about what kind of events we're going to see. All we know now is the release date of October 19th and a few other things as well.

One of those things is the addition of Ghostface to the Warzone arsenal of skins. Although the name might not ring a bell, one look at the iconic masked assailant from Scream will remind you real quick who is going to be terrorizing you in the dark corner of Verdansk this Halloween season. Although specifics on him haven't been released, it's safe to assume that he'll have a takedown where he utilizes his signature knife and probably a weapon or two unique to him as well.

Call of Duty: Warzone Ghostface

It's not just Ghostface coming to play this Halloween, we've also got a nearly confirmed character from Donny Darko as well. The cult horror is probably best known for the introduction of Jake Gyllenhaal to the world, but he wouldn't make for a very cool Call of Duty: Warzone skin now would he? Instead, the gaming world has surmised that the file dump including the phrase Donny Darko is referring to the inclusion of Frank the Bunny into Warzone. For those unfamiliar, Frank is a terrifying-looking bunny that gives Donny eerie premonitions of the future in the movie and has one of the most haunting looks to any quazi horror figure out there. Seeing him terrorizing Warzone would be a feast for the eyes, so let's hope the data leaks lead to it being a reality.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
