10 The Game Awards Announcement That Leave GTA 6 In The Dust

The Game Awards this year showed off a ton of world premieres from a ton of different developers. Of everything shown, the only thing that was not touched on was Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). However, there were still a ton of announcements that definitely rival Rockstar Games' announcement from last week. Let's dive into the top ten announcements made at The Game Awards 2023 that are sure to leave GTA 6 in the dust!

10. SEGA Announces Five New Games

SEGA didn't just announce one new game, they announced five! SEGA revealed that they are working on remakes of some of its most beloved titles including Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Crazy Taxi. There wasn't much more revealed about when they were coming out or for what platforms. However, there have been several leaks about Jet Set Radio already. So, it's nice to see that they weren't just rumors this whole time.

9. Rise of the Ronin by Team Ninja

Team Ninja is joining the open-world samurai genre with Rise of the Ronin. The trailer showed off the gameplay and some of the story. Players will play in the dawn of a new era in Japan in the year 1863. The Black Ships of the West descended upon the nation's borders and the country has fallen into a state of turmoil. We won't need to wait too long since the trailer also revealed that it will be available on March 22, 2024.

8. Jurassic Park Survival

This Jurassic Park title will put players in a first-person perspective on Isla Nubar. The trailer shows off a story of a doctor left behind on the island after the protagonists from the first movie have already departed. Many iconic scenes were shown as well as some gameplay of what we can expect. There's even a cheeky easter egg about what happened to the raptor that was trapped in the freezer.

7. Lost Records: Bloom & Rage by Dont Nod

Dont Nod is popular for games like the Life is Strange franchise. Its storytelling has gone above and beyond in almost all aspects. Lost RecordsL Blood & Rage seems to follow in the same, supernatural footsteps that the developer is known for. This time, the story revolves around four teenagers in the 80s who had something happen to them. Now, it's 27 years later and they are returned to the place where that event happened.

6. Exoborne by Sharkmob

Equip yourself, dive in, and extract swiftly in Exoborne, an open-world tactical shooter amid a post-apocalyptic U.S. shaped by nature's extremes. Navigate a dynamic realm with rival factions and relentless adversaries, where survival hinges on scavenging, crafting, and fierce combat. There's currently a Steam page available for you to check out.

5. KEMURI by Unseen

In this realm, yokai hunters confront existential themes and moral quandaries in high-speed combat, collecting a diverse array of yokai with both malevolent and benevolent traits. 4. Light No Fire by Hello Games

By the brilliant minds behind No Man's Sky comes Light No Fire, a project even more ambitious than the prior. Embark on an immersive journey of adventure, construction, survival, and exploration journey united in one game. Delve into a fantastical world, as expansive as Earth, where the possibilities for discovery and creativity are boundless.

3. Den of Wolves by 10 Chambers

Experience Den of Wolves, a co-op heist FPS crafted by the creator of PAYDAY: The Heist, PAYDAY 2, and GTFO. Dive into this techno-thriller where you and your friends take on the role of for-hire criminals entangled in the corporate conflicts of Midway City. Assemble your crew, strategize the plan, equip yourselves, and execute the perfect heist.

2. Marvel's Blade

The Blade game was by far on of our favorite trailers. Even though not much was shown, we do know that it takes place in Paris, France. It's in development by Arkane Lyon and is set to be a single-player, third-person game. Beyond that, not much else is known, however, we can only hope that it comes out before Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 sees the light of day. If it ever does.

1. OD by Kojima Productions

The star of the show was definitely OD by Kojima Productions. Not only was the game announced to feature acclaimed actors Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, Udo Kier but he is also developing it with director Jordan Peele. In our personal opinion, this announcement alone is more exciting than anything Rockstar could announce. It was previously leaked, but now it looks like they've gone in a different direction since.
