Why Resident Evil's Most Powerful New Character Is Rose Winters


It isn't the end of the showcases for Capcom just yet! Even after having announced the remake of the beloved Resident Evil 4 and the sixth installment in the Street Fighter series, the company is still going strong with surprises. Today, the Summer Game Fest showcase showed off more from the tenured company than we've seen in a while. If you missed it, we rounded up all the highlights for you to be able to look over below!
 

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak


The newest installment to the Rise series of Monster Hunter games has officially been revealed. And, it has a release date of June 20 for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam! There were two trailers shown off that introduce recurring monsters like Espinas from the Monster Hunter Frontier series and Gore Magala from Monster Hunter 4. Are you excited? Well, Capcom also announced that the demo will be available on June 14. A slew of consistently free updates were also revealed to hold the game over post-launch for a very long time.



 


Capcom Fighting Collection


In the same announcement as Street Fighter 6, Capcom also announced the Capcom Fighting Collection. The game will include 10 titles including:


- Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors

- Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge

- Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire

- Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge

- Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire

- Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness

- Red Earth

- Hyper Street Fighter II – The Anniversary Edition

- Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix

- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo


It will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $39.99 on June 24. You can also purchase a bundle that includes the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for $59.99.



 


Exoprimal


Capcom showed off a trailer for their upcoming game Dino Crisis Exoprimal. It's a co-op shooter where you'll go against hordes of dinosaurs. The trailer showed off the dinosaur enemy Neo Tyrannosaurus as well as two new assault suits: Barrage and Vigilant. There was still no release date given though it is expected to come out sometime in 2023. It was also announced that you can sign up for a closed network beta on PC if you sign up on the game's website.



 


Dragon's Dogma 10th Anniversary


Many fans were expecting there to be some sort of announcement for a sequel but no such thing came of the show. However, it was announced that a video will be released on June 16 that will go over "how and what Dragon's Dogma came to be." Hopefully, this means that we will hear more about the future of the franchise then.
 

 


 Resident Evil Village DLC

You haven't heard the end of Resident Evil Village. On October 28, new DLC for the game including a new campaign, Mercenaries, and a third-person mode. One of these DLC will involve Rose, your daughter from the game, many years in the future. Part of the trailer shows her walking through Castle Dimitrescu, indicating that the nightmare isn't over just yet.
 

 


Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Upgrades
 

In celebration of the previous announcement as well as the reveal of Resident Evil 4's remake, Capcom has decided to upgrade their most recent releases for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will be out later today on June 13 as well as a PC update for those who already have the game.
 


 

More gameplay was shown for the newly announced Resident Evil 4 remake as well. With that, Summer Game Fest 2022 is almost over. An extended Xbox Games showcase as well as the Multiversus Pro Player showcase still await us this month.
