JACKZ Joins HEET

JACKZ leaves G2, joins a French team
by Tit Krajnik on August 10, 2022

Audric "JACKZ" Jug officially left G2 Esports on Wednesday, August 10, and has quickly found a new home at HEET, who signed the 30-year-old Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. The move confirms rumors of JACKZ leaving G2 for a French team.

HEET announced JACKZ signing shortly after the French CS:GO pro departed G2 Esports, confirming rumors of JACKZ wanting to return to France and play in an all-French team after spending more than three years with G2 Esports' international lineup. Former G2 rifler joins HEET as a replacement for Lucas "Lucky" Chastang, who was benched from the active lineup earlier this week.

JACKZ started his Counter-Strike career in 2009 with Team eXtensive before moving to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with KOWABUNGA and WebSPELL Gaming. Throughout his career as a CS:GO pro, JACKZ has played mostly for lesser teams in Epsilon France, EnVyUs Academy, and 3DMAX before joining G2 Esports in November 2018.

At G2, JACKZ got his first taste of the top-tier CS:GO and has remained with the team for nearly four years, now leaving the organization as the longest-serving member. Throughout his tenure at G2, JACZK has averaged a 1.00 performance rating but has never won a Big Event.

His only notable tournament titles came in 2019 when G2 won the Champions Cup Finals. Still, G2 Esports have done well in major competitions, finishing runners-up at IEM Katowice 2020, IEM Cologne 2021, PGL Major Stockholm, and IEM Katowice 2022.

Despite always being in the mix to claim big trophies, G2 Esports consistently fell flat at the final hurdle, which ushered in roster changes ahead of the next season. As revealed last month, G2 Esports planned to part ways with JACKZ and Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, who were both allowed to explore their options. With JACKZ finding a new home, now all the eyes are on the Finnish in-game leader, who remains on G2's bench.

"We are pleased to welcome JACKZ to the team. He was at the base of the DBL PONEY project, and we are delighted to be able to, finally, re-work together. We are sure that his experience and qualities will help us to reach our goals more quickly," said Vivien "GoY" Goyon, team manager at HEET

With the latest addition, HEET now field an all-French roster of Pierre "Ex3rcice" Bulinge, Thomas "Djoko" Pavoni, Aurélien "afro" Drapier, and JACKZ. HEET will debut their new lineup at ESL Challenger League Season 42, slated to kick off on Tuesday, August 16.
