When Does World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 4 Start?

WoW: Dragonflight is coming to an end, but there’s one last season to play though
by Tit Krajnik on March 13, 2024

The World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion is coming to a close and will end sometime in late summer. However, until then, there’s still one more season to play - a culmination of what was generally accepted to be a great expansion.

Earlier this year, World of Warcraft released a 2024 roadmap, giving players some insight into what is to come. In addition to the secretive Patch 10.2.6, the roadmap also showed when the final season of the expansion will begin and what new things it’ll bring, including new open-world rewards and a new PvP and Mythic+ season.

Blizzard announced big changes for Mythic+, which will be introduced with the final season of the expansion, completely changing the Mythic+ system from rewards to the difficulty of key levels. However, while more and more information about the next season is becoming available, the main question remains – when does World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 4 start?

When Will WoW: Dragonflight Season 4 Begin?

As confirmed by the World of Warcraft 2024 roadmap, season 4 is set to start between late winter and early spring 2024, with many speculating April could be the month it’ll go live. However, this is for now, purely speculative, as there are no official confirmations from Blizzard.

WoW: Dragonflight patches have been about two months apart so far; however, this time, it could be different since Blizzard refuses to say anything about the next patch.

What Will WoW: Dragonflight Season 4 Bring?

As confirmed by Blizzard, WoW: Dragonflight Season 4 will revisit the original eight Dragonflight dungeons and the three raids, including Vault of the Incarnates, Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, and Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope.

For Mythic+ in particular, there will be some major changes to address some of the problems the community has expressed. With the changes, the difficulty of keys will increase to address the issue of Mythic 0-10 being irrelevant after the first couple of weeks of the expansion, as well as changes to affixes and Mythic+ timers.

Blizzard also promised new open-world events and rewards, presumably making Time Rifts, Dreamsurge, and Siege on Dragonbane relevant again, offering better rewards for the players.

Even though Blizzard has shared some information about WoW: Dragonflight Season 4 and the changes, its release date has yet to be confirmed. Still, an April release date seems most plausible, given the release of previous seasons and the current trend of releasing significant updates.
