Tekken developer Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 8 Closed Network Test sign-up is now live, allowing players to sign up for the upcoming beta test. As confirmed Tekken 8 beta test will go live in July and be available for the selected players who will sign up for it in time.

2023 has proven to be a great year for fighting games, with Street Fighter 6 the main talking point among the fighting game community now and Mortal Kombat 1 showing off all the new features that'll come with the game's upcoming release. And now we got the official confirmation that Tekken 8 is ready for its first beta test, and it's closer than many expected.

As confirmed on Friday, June 9, by Bandai Namco, Tekken 8 is very close to getting released, but first, the game has to go through the beta test, which will kick off in June. The so-called Closed Network Test will run over two weekends on July 21 – July 24 and July 28-31, however, with one asterisk.

The Tekken 8 CNT will only be available to PlayStation 5 players in the first week, while the second week of Tekken 8 CNT will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

The Tekken 8 CNT Dates & Time

  • The Tekken 8 CNT 1: July 21,10:00 AM – July 24, 9:00 AM CEST
  • The Tekken 8 CNT 2: July 28, 10:00 AM – July 31, 9:00 AM CEST

“The aim of this network test is to evaluate the network's quality as well as offering a high end game experience with our new battle system and tactics; aerial combos; new gen graphics; and destructive and interactive stages to players.”

During the test, players will be able to play all 16 characters currently revealed, including Jack 8, Jin, Paul, Xiaoyu, Kazuya, Lars, Nina, King, Asuka, Lili, Nina, Leroy, Hwoarang, Law, and Bryan, who was recently leaked by Bandai on its official Twitter page.

Joining the list of the 15 fighters is also Claudi Serafino, who was revealed as the 16th playable character in the Tekken 8 CNT trailer. Claudi Serafino will make a return from Tekken 8 and stands out from other characters as a unique fighter who uses sorcery rather than raw strength, as most other characters do.

The Tekken 8 CNT sign-up is now available through the Bandai Namco website, and anyone can join, regardless of the region or whether you own Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation 8.
