New Starfield 1.7.36 Update Adds 'Improvements'

New improvements make for an even better game.
by Natalie Collazo on October 09, 2023

Starfield is already among one of the greatest achievements that any game developer has been able to accomplish to date, though now it's only better than it ever was. Now, players can take advantage of the new FOV sliders alongside a few other performance improvements and quest fixes, according to the patch notes.

The performance adjustments were only made for PC and included stability for Intel Arc GPUs. As for the quest, Echoes of the Past was adjusted to address an issue in which tunneling creatures would choose locations that would prevent progression. This was incredibly annoying for a lot of fans, but we won't have to worry about it anymore.

With respect to the aforementioned FOV: Sliders, they are now available in the Settings. They allow players who are using first person or third person to adjust their FOV. This update, as well as the one for the Echoes of the Past quest, are available for all platforms and not just PC. Unfortunately, it looks like none of the patch updates include anything about having DLSS support.

Starfield is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
