What Exactly is World of Warcraft Remix?

Relive Mist of Pandaria with a twist
by Tit Krajnik on April 12, 2024

On Wednesday, April 10, Blizzard announced a new time-limited World of Warcraft event called WoW: Remix, which will introduce a complete rework of the Mist of Pandaria expansion. The event is set to start this spring, and it’ll allow players to experience Mist of Pandaria with a twist.

WoW Remix is the second major time-limited event added to World of Warcraft, following Plunderstorm. However, unlike the battle royale game mode, WoW Remix will overhaul Mist of Pandaria zones and offer new content for WoW players to explore.

As a time-limited event, WoW Remix will only last for a few weeks, yet all new items, mounts, transmog, and achievements players gain will transfer over to their WoW accounts.

When Will WoW Remix Release?

WoW Remix is an exciting new project by Blizzard. It overhauls the entirety of Mist of Pandaria zones, allowing players to experience MoP in a different way.

The project offers new rewards from quests, raids, and dungeons, as well as new leveling content at an expedited leveling rate.

While much of WoW Remix is still unknown, Blizzard has confirmed that the time-limited event will launch with Patch 10.2.7, meaning it’ll come after the start of WoW: Dragonflight Season 4 – confirmed for April 26.

According to the WoW roadmap, patch 10.2.7 will also introduce Harbinger Quests, Troll & Dranei heritage armor, and a new holiday event. The exact date is still unknown, but it’s been confirmed to launch between spring and summer 2024.

WoW Remix Content

WoW Remix will take place only in Mist of Pandaria zones, and all content will scale up to level 70. As stated by Blizzard, they intend to make the content playable in full, meaning that completing all zones and quests will be enough to get you from level 10 to 70.

However, the content available in WoW Remix will have an interesting twist. All players will start at level 10, and reaching the level cap is not a requirement to enter raids.

Instead, players will be able to enter the first raid (Mogu’shan Vaults) at level 25, with Hearts of Fear opening up at level 35. Dungeons will also become available at specific level caps and stay available until level 70.

Level Zone Dungeons Raids
10-70 The Jade Forest Temple of the Jade Serpent, Scholomance, Scarlet Halls, Scarlet Monastery
20-70 Krasarangf Wilds, Valley of the Four Winds Stormstout Brewery
25-70 Kun-Lai Summit Shado-Pan Monastery Mogu'shan Vaults
30-70 Townlong Steppes Siege of Niuzao Temple
35-70 Dread Wastes   Heart of Fear
40-70 Vale of Eternal Blossoms Gate of the Setting Sun, Mogu'shan Palace Terrace of Endless Spring
45-70 Isle of Giants, Timeless Isle
50-70 Isle of Thunder   Throne of Thunder
60-70     Siege of Orgrimmar
70     Heroic Raids

Scenarios released during MoP will also return. Short PvE instances, which require only three players and are easier than normal dungeons, should be familiar to all WoW veterans. However, the feature was removed after Mist of Pandaria and didn’t return until WoW Remix.

WoW Remix will be available to all players who are subscribed to World of Warcraft and will not require any WoW expansions. However, even without an active subscription, anyone can test out WoW Remix—up to level 20 when the trial version ends.
